Official Information Act requests

The Official Information Act 1982 (OIA) gives New Zealanders the right to request official information.

To request official information from the XRB, you can either:

  • email us at enquiries@xrb.govt.nz, or
  • write to us at OIA requests, External Reporting Board, PO Box 11250, Manners Street, Wellington 6142

As part of your request, make sure you tell us:

  • your name
  • your preferred contact details 
  • the full details of the information you would like to see.

We will acknowledge your request as soon as practicable and respond to your request no later than 20 working days after we receive it. In some circumstances the OIA allows for an extension of time, if this is the case, we will contact you.
