Accounting Standards Board Meeting 4 December 2024

Key topics to be discussed in the public session are: 

• PBE Revenue and Transfer Expenses (discuss the development of the NZ equivalent standards including the draft versions of the domestic Exposure Draft PBE IPSAS 47 Revenue and the domestic Exposure Draft PBE IPSAS 48 Transfer Expenses).
• Service Performance Reporting (discuss project plan and timetable for the commencement of a  project to address feedback received).
• Going Concern (consider the IAASB standard on auditing going concern and seek feedback on staff recommendations).
• Equity Method (seeking approval of the comment letter on the IASB Exposure Draft Equity Method of Accounting)
• RDR Concessions Policy (seek feedback on the draft staff RDR policy and approve proposed RDR concessions for Amendments to the Classification and Measurement of Financial Instruments).
• Provisions (consider the IASB Exposure Draft Provisions – Targeted Improvements and seek feedback on initial staff views).
• Concessionary leases (consider the application of the PBE policy approach and approve staff recommendations).
