Vacancy—New Zealand Accounting Standards Board Chair
The External Reporting Board (XRB) is an Independent Crown Entity responsible for accounting and auditing & assurance standards in New Zealand. Its key objective is to promote trust and confidence in New Zealand external reporting. The XRB has two standard-setting sub-Boards ― New Zealand Accounting Standards Board (NZASB) and New Zealand Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (NZAuASB).
The XRB is seeking a person for the role of Chair of the NZASB, who is passionate about the public interest and the importance that accounting standards play in the financial reporting supply chain.
The NZASB is responsible for developing and issuing accounting standards, and related explanatory documents, under delegated authority from the XRB Board. The NZASB consists of up to 10 members with a range of perspectives and sectoral knowledge. The role is part time (approx. 60 days per year) and remunerated.
